2043 SBC (specific benefit corporation) is an economic development firm at the intersection of people, infrastructure, and workforce with a focus on inclusivity. We work in a private-public-philanthropic partnership model to grow local economies.

HUMANS GET TOGETHER
Humans Get Together (HGT), a program of 2043 SBC, was launched in October 2021 in Saint Paul, MN. HGT is a human-centered approach to building community, connecting industry, and growing local economies. HGT curates spaces and events for impactful and authentic relationship building with a focus on inclusivity. Our events are racially, age, and sector diverse. Attendees so far have come from 2 countries, 14 states, and 23 cities.

Our events typically breakdown to 67% People of Color and 65% of attendees in the 21-40 age range. And, with attendees from 2 countries, 14 states, and 23 cities, it shows/proves people will come to Saint Paul and do business.

RESEARCH CITIES
We conducted extensive research in partnership with the University of Chicago to create our theory of change and methodology for delivering inorganic economic growth. Our process included study and synthesis of published literature from academia, think tanks, foundations, and government data sets. We also interviewed stakeholders and experts from the corporate, public, and philanthropic sectors from cities across the country.
Our Customers
Humans and how they interact with one another and their environment is our expertise. Our clients are cities, corporations, foundations, and community organizations using human-centered approaches to building internal systems or local economic growth.
